3rd Grade
Instructor: Mrs. Krotish and Mrs. Boyd

Students, Parents, and Guardians:
May is the last full month of school for academic year 2009-2010. It's also a very busy month as students make their last few preparations before moving on to their next grade. Many students have been working extra after school to further prepare, and teachers are very grateful to these students for their willingness to practice extra.
Math and reading, students are continuing to review all concepts learned throughout the year. In Science, third graders are studying the solar system, and in Social Studies, students continue to learn through People Who Make a Difference.
Please come out to see the students' wonderful art work during the first Thursday in May. The art teacher, Ms. Breckenridge has worked hard with our little artists to produce a fantastic display.
Please continue to make sure your child is reading as much as possible every night, including weekends. Be sure to have your child discuss what he or she has read by asking them specific questions about the characters, the setting, problem and solution. When you're driving down the road, quiz your child on his or her times tables. You can also ask them their division problems.
We appreciate all your support this year in helping your child achieve success in their learning. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to support your success.
